Do you drink a lot of water with every meal? Is that water typically ice cold? Well, recent research is showing that drinking too much water with meals, especially cold water, can paralyze the stomach and dilute digestive enzymes. This makes the diegstive process much more difficult. My recommendation, limit water intake with meals and avoid drinking tap water. Try and keep the water around room temperature.
